Annie & Kahu

“It’s not the dreaming, it’s the waking up with you.”

Riverhead, New Zealand

Two weeks before their Wedding Day, Annie and Kahu booked us for their videography. And omigosh are we glad they did!

They spent the morning getting ready with their bridesmaids & groomsmen, and it was a real family affair with everyone getting involved to create the beautiful day. From setting up the dining hall; stocking the bar; and preparing the grazing table; to the bridesmaids making bouquets, and the Aunty icing the wedding cake right there in the kitchen (incredible!). Hu’s Venue in Riverhead was a perfect place for their celebrations.

Annie and Kahu were married by Celebrant Jamie Erin on a jetty over the pond, surrounded by their closest people. The afternoon was spent enjoying good food, flowing champagne, and the most incredible Chinese Lion Dance which kept everyone entertained, and honoured Annie’s cultural heritage.

Into the evening and the food truck arrived - keeping guests were well fed in-between all the incredibly beautiful speeches, waiata, musical performances, and a powerful haka.

This was a day all about food, whanau, culture, and love.
